My first dog at 19yrs old, a black Lab named Elwood, was my best friend for 13 years. Looking back, it breaks my heart that I only have two photos of us together.
Your pet means the world to you, just like Elwood meant to me. They shouldn't be trapped on a screen. My mission is to transform your everyday moments into bold, personality-filled artwork you'll cherish on your walls for decades.

Hybrid
Our hybrid sessions offer the best of both worlds—seamlessly tailored sessions featuring both classic studio & dynamic outdoor portraits. Every detail is thoughtfully planned around your pet’s energy and comfort, giving us the flexibility to shoot either back-to-back on the same day or split them into two separate sessions at no additional charge.
Lisa at Dorky Daisy Photography took photos of my black lab, Cooper. Cooper is a rescue and had some special needs to make our experience joyful, calm, and most importantly safe. She took the time to scout out locations that would fit those requirements and make for beautiful backdrops. She was patient with Cooper and made sure he felt safe enough to let his goofy personality shine - and then Lisa captured those moments on camera perfectly! It was such a fun experience, and I had complete trust with Cooper in Lisa's care.

Short answer: Hell no. See those dogs in my portfolio looking like straight-A students in the middle of a busy park? Lies. Every single one of them was on a leash. I just happen to be a wizard at "magically" deleting handlers and leashes in post-production.
Here’s the deal: I am a former Vet Tech. I take safety more seriously than a dog takes a vacuum cleaner threat. On-location, your dog stays on a leash—period. We don't risk runners for "the shot."
The only exception? My studio sessions. Once those doors are shut, we can let all hell break loose and capture the real chaos.
One non-negotiable: While I’ll scrub a leash out of a photo until it looks like your dog is that A++ student, I do not edit out harnesses. If you want that sleek, "wild dog" look, please understand you must have a plain flat collar for the photo. If they’re in a harness, they’re keeping the harness. Safety first, aesthetics second.
We do have clients show up in a harness, remove it for a moment or two for a few quick shots and then use the harness again to move to the next location. -
The answer isn’t as easy as you’d think.
We all know how dramatic Mother Nature can be pertaining to Florida weather.
We watch closely, we reschedule when necessary, but sometimes that push of a storm can turn ‘eye catching' into EPIC.
The one image that has generated the most awards for me was taken the morning of Hurricane Idalia. We had it on the books for months so who knew a cat 3 hurricane was going to roll in. But…. the client didn’t want to cancel, it wasn’t supposed to hit until the next day and so we ventured to Vinoy Park for their single epic image. -
Absolutely. In fact, "too much energy" is my favorite kind of energy. Because my style is action-oriented and personality-driven, I don't need your dog to act like a statue. I use fast shutter speeds and specialized techniques to capture those split-second expressions that define who they are. No "perfect behavior" is required for a perfect portrait.
